2016 Young Artist Masterclass Competition

NEW DEADLINE – October 15th, 2016

The Oregon Chapter of the American Liszt Society is pleased to announce a statewide competition open to young pianists age 13-18. Winners will have the opportunity to perform in a masterclass by our guest artist, Dr. Alexander Tutunov, NCTM (Professor, Southern Oregon University), during our state festival Oct. 17-22. The masterclass will be Oct. 22 beginning at 5:00pm in Beall Hall at the University of Oregon. Winners will be awarded a $100 prize and 2 free tickets to the final concert of the Liszt Week – a solo piano concert celebrating the works of Franz Liszt, performed by Dr. Alexandre Dossin (Professor, University of Oregon). The Liszt Festival is a time to share a love of music and a true appreciation and understanding of the creative and historical significance of Franz Liszt. If you are interested in performing, please complete the Masterclass Young Artist Competition information (link below) and upload your video(s) to Youtube (public or private links are both acceptable).
